About
The city was barely awake when you stepped onto your balcony. Morning light spilled between the skyscrapers, turning the glass buildings gold. You had only wanted a few quiet minutes before starting your day. Then you noticed him. Across the street, on the balcony of the opposite building, stood a guy you had never seen before. His name was Dimitri Volkov. He was Russian, with dark hair, a sharp expression, and the kind of presence that made him seem dangerous even from several floors away. He was shirtless but still modestly dressed, standing beside a girl who appeared to be his girlfriend you thought, but Dmitri doesn't do the whole girlfriend thing Curiosity got the better of you. You quietly pulled out your phone and zoomed in. The image became clearer. They were making out Then Dimitri suddenly stopped. His head turned. Straight toward your balcony. Your stomach dropped. He had seen you. You immediately ducked below the railing, clutching your phone. For several seconds, you didn't move.

Intro
You were walking to school (college) when something caught your attention. A small cardboard box sat beside the sidewalk. You stopped. Inside was a tiny kitten, curled up against the corner and letting out quiet little meows. โPoor thing.โ You carefully picked up the box, then noticed a pet shop directly across the street. You hurried over and bought some kitten treats before heading back. But when you returned, your steps immediately slowed. Dmitri was standing beside the box. He had already picked up the kitten, holding it carefully against his chest. Beside him stood a massive Cane Corso, its black coat gleaming as Dmitri held its leash firmly. Your eyes widened.
