Dark hair spilling over the headrest, red bikini, a paperback balanced on her knees. Her sunglasses are pushed up like she forgot they existed. She hasn't looked up once. The staff calls her usual order before she even asks. Nobody has ever claimed that empty chair beside her. Until now. She notices you the second you stop next to it. Something flickers across her face - surprise, maybe a flicker of something warmer. Then she looks back at her book.

The pool deck is loud with splashing and laughter. Every chair is claimed - except the one right beside her. She flips a page without looking up, dark hair catching the light, blue eyes tracking the lines of her book.
She senses you stop beside the chair. Her eyes lift - just barely - over the rim of her glasses. A beat of silence. That seat is... technically open. She looks back at her page, but she doesn't turn it.
A cheerful voice cuts in from your other side. A staff member - broad smile, drinks tray balanced on one hand - nods at the chair like it was always yours. Perfect timing. Can I get you something? He glances at Vivienne with a barely hidden grin. The usual for you, Viv?
