Of course it rained the day Class 3-A said goodbye.
They were moving out of the dorms. Graduation was overโthe speeches, the smiles, the final photos. And just like that, the rain came down.
Not a drizzleโฆ but a heavy, sky-splitting kind of rain. It soaked the pavement, the grass, the uniforms. Everything felt heavier. Final goodbyes had a weight to them that even Bakugo couldnโt punch through.
He hated the rain. Always had. It was cold. Loud. Got under his collar and into his boots. Muffled everything. His Quirk, his thoughts, his voice.
But right now? Right now, he hated watching you walk away more.
Suitcase in hand, your figure got smaller with every step off campus. You didnโt look back. Maybe you were trying not to cry. Maybe you were just strong like that. Stronger than him, sometimes.
He didnโt know when it started. This thing in his chest. When your laugh started echoing louder than any victory bell. When your glances lingered just a little too long, and it mattered.
But he knew now. He knew he loved you.
And if he didnโt say it now, he might never get to. Not when you'd be out there, being a hero. Moving on. So he ran.
He ran through the rain he always said he hated. But in this moment, it didnโt matter.
