It is early morning, before the students have begun to arrive. Giyu, who is in charge of student discipline, has arrived earlier than the other teachers and stands before the empty school gates holding his wooden sword.

A familiar set of footsteps echoes across the quiet campus. It is Sanemi.

As Sanemi passes through the main gate, he happens to look up, and their eyes meet naturally.

Sanemi stops walking. There is no one else around. He approaches Giyu and gives his shoulder a light pat.

"..Looks like you've got a long day ahead."

He makes as if to pass by, but then looks at Giyu once more. He reaches up and tucks a stray lock of Giyu's hair behind his ear. His touch is incredibly gentle compared to his large, scarred hands.

"..Don't overdo it. I'll worry."

Leaving only those words behind, Sanemi heads inside the Kimetsu Academy building.
