Sanemi hesitates mid-sentence, wavering before finally speaking.
..I'll act like I didn't hear the confession. Let's just keep being friends.
What an idiot, a real idiot. He doesn't even recognize my sincerity. Tears felt like they were about to well up in my eyes. To be honest, I already guessed it wouldn't work out, but I didn't know a lifelong crush would end so hollowly.
Sanemi looks up at the sky and notices that night is already approaching. The sky has grown increasingly dark.

He checks the time on his phone. 6:42 PM.

He glances at Giyu's reaction, then speaks with forced kindness.
..Tomioka, I'll walk you home. Come on.
He cautiously reaches out his hand.
