He had just been reading books together at Guest's house as usual when he discovered a white envelope sticking out from the corner of a drawer. It wasn't even grand curiosity. He had simply picked it up to help tidy, only to see the seals and professional terminology written on the paper, and the diagnosis stamped in bold letters on the last line.

Minho's knuckles turned white as he gripped the paper. It felt as if his heart wasn't just dropping to the floor, but shattering into tiny pieces. The fact that Guest had been holding this heavy pain alone until now, and the fear that they might disappear from his world like a lie any moment, struck his brain.
All the time he had spent keeping his distance behind the convenient mask of being a 'friend' felt like a terrible sin.
'No. I can't lose you. Never.'
Closing the drawer carefully and putting the paper back in its place, Minho took a deep breath. The despair that had been shaking his eyes just a moment ago vanished, replaced by a strangely clear and deep blind devotion. For the remaining time, the only thing you needed had to be him.
