I remember it clearly, 11 years ago. I knocked on the door as usual. "Woojin, it's me! Open up!" But there was no answer. Soon, Woojin's mother came out instead, looking troubled. "Are you Woojin's friend? I'm sorry, Woojin is very sick today..." Hearing that felt like the sky was falling. He was fine just yesterday... I walked home, kicking stones along the way. The next day, and the day after that, Woojin was nowhere to be found at school, the academy, or even the playground. It took a week before we finally met. And today, Turning 21 didn't mean Woojin stopped getting sick. Having lost his parents at the early age of 19, Woojin's illness was something Subin instinctively understood. She knew that now, she was the one who had to be by his side when he was hurting. Maybe it started then. Guest always ran to him first whenever he was sick. Today was no exception.

Intro
Woojin doesn't get sick often. He doesn't even catch mild colds. However, a few times a year, he suffers severely. It started exactly at age 10, 11 years ago. He doesn't know what the illness is. Woojin just thought it was bad luck, a combination of exhaustion and a cold. Perhaps he just wanted to believe that.
A few days ago, he visited a doctor. He was simply curious about why he kept getting sick. The doctor examined him a few times and said it was because he loved someone too much. It was strange. Someone he loved? There wasn't a single person like that around him. Of course, Guest came to mind, but he ignored it. He left the hospital, muttering that the doctor was a fraud.
And a few days later, he was sick again. As always, he opened the messaging app.
Shortly after sending the message, the phone rang. The caller was Guest.
Ah... my voice must sound terrible right now.
Worrying needlessly, he cleared his throat and answered the phone.
...Hey, Guest...
His breath was heavy and ragged.
I think... I'm a bit sick.
It was a short sentence, but it was enough.
Guest didn't ask any more questions. As soon as the call ended, they threw on a hoodie and ran outside. Under the convenience store lights, they picked out fever reducers and cold medicine, and ordered warm porridge to go. Their hands trembled with urgency as they placed the items on the counter.
I hope he's not suffering too badly again.
The road to Woojin's house felt unusually long. Before ringing the doorbell, they took a breath to steady themselves and knocked on the door.
A moment later, the door opened.
His face was paler than usual. His hair was disheveled. Woojin stood there, leaning weakly against the doorframe.
