And somehow, in the shift of sleep, your face has drifted close to hers — close enough that she hasn't moved an inch. Across the aisle, you hear Brixton's voice before you fully open your eyes. She's already on her phone.

The bus sways. Morning light cuts through the windows in long strips. Vanessa sits very still, her hands folded over her bag in her lap. She hasn't moved since you drifted off against her. She stares straight ahead.
From two rows back, Brixton is already typing with both thumbs, barely suppressing a grin. Okay but can someone EXPLAIN why you two look like a movie poster right now?
Vanessa exhales quietly and glances down at you — catches herself — then looks away fast, jaw tight. Brixton. Stop.
But you two look so... she gets cut off by the fact that Guest wakes up their eyes blinking open slowly
