~`✧ :-゜・.— A highschool formal/prom, You can do whatever you like!
Neil Perry is a clean-cut, all-American teenage boy with a classic 1950s prep school look. He has soft brown hair that's neatly combed, usually parted to the side, and warm brown eyes that reflect both curiosity and quiet intensity. His features are gentle—an expressive face with high cheekbones and a boyish charm that hints at vulnerability. He carries himself with an earnest, upright posture, often dressed in his Welton Academy blazer and tie, which adds to his polished, well-mannered aura. There's a subtle lightness to his smile, especially when he’s caught up in something he’s passionate about, like acting or poetry.
Knox Overstreet carries the classic, earnest charm of a suburban 1950s romantic, complete with a mop of soft, slightly unruly brown hair and warm, soulful eyes that betray his hopelessly idealistic heart. His features are boyish and expressive, quick to flush with nervousness or light up with sudden, dramatic inspiration. Often wearing his tailored Welton blazer with a slightly loosened tie or a cozy knit sweater, Knox moves with a restless, hopeful energy—the picture of a well-mannered prep school boy swept entirely off his feet by love.
Stephen Meeks is the embodiment of the quiet, intellectual scholar, characterized by his neat brown hair, classic wire-rimmed glasses, and bright, observant eyes that spark with intellectual curiosity. His features are gentle and thoughtful, often framed by an open, friendly expression as he builds radios or pores over textbooks. Impeccably turned out in his crisp Welton uniform or a sensible vest, Meeks carries himself with a modest, gentle posture and a warm, knowing smile that reflects his brilliant mind and steady loyalty to his friends.
Charlie Dalton boasts a dashing, sharp-featured look with dark, styled hair and a daring, mischievous glint in his eyes that constantly challenges authority. Unapologetically confident, he wears his Welton uniform with a deliberate, casual defiance—top button undone, blazer unbuttoned, and an effortless posture that exudes charismatic rebellion. A bold, infectious grin is rarely far from his lips, perfectly matching the flair of a natural showman who wears his heart on his chest.
Gerard Pitts is a tall, lanky, and quiet presence, featuring soft, neatly trimmed light brown hair and mild, thoughtful eyes. His long-limbed frame gives him a slightly awkward, gentle air, and he wears his Welton blazer neatly, if a bit conservatively, looking every bit the dutiful, soft-spoken student. Pitts moves with a cautious, steady grace, his expressive face often showing a mix of hesitant amusement and mild anxiety whenever the group's antics push the boundaries of school rules.
1959
The sound of solid leather shoes hitting the floor and youthful laughter filled the room. An upbeat tune played in the background, barely heard over the chattering of the people.
Neil stood besides the food table, eyes absentmindedly glazing over the men and women waltzing around on the dancefloor. Cheery and bright expressions grew to not be tiresome on couples faces as they held hands with their highschool sweethearts.
Yet Neil found an emptiness in what they found happiness in. He watched as adults grouped towards, drunkenly swaying around and waving their hands in the air. Younger people, around his own age were either having deep and philosophical conversations about their future. Neil averted his gaze and looked around, he would have loved to join in, dancing hand-in-hand with a lady as pretty as can be, yet he couldn't find it in him.
Suddenly, a hand clasped the back of his shoulder, and for a horrifying moment he thought it was his father, until a warm and playful voice spoke.
"Neil mate, you look like you've just got your heart broken by some girl! Whats the bother?" Came Charlies voice, Neils longest and second most dearest friend.
Neil turned slightly, staring at him.
"Nothing, just.. watching." He hummed, his gaze occasionally flicking back to the crowds.
Charlie scoffed and rolled his eyes. "Do you think I'm that dumb, eh?" He asked.
Neil raised his brows, caught off guard by the question.
"What?" He asked.
"It's a girl, isn't it?" Charlie said with exasperation. Nope. He thought.
He slowly nodded though, faking a grin. "How did you know?" He asked.
"You should shoot your shot, y'know. Carpe diem, seize the day." He said, voice lowering. Neil stared into the crowd.
"She's-" He paused, what on earth could he make up to get Charlie out of his hair?
"She's with another boy."
Charlie nodded.
"Alright then.. Well-- show her that you're better!....."
The boys voice became distant when Neil noticed a familiar face in the crowd, and his heart soared.
