The beach was supposed to be simple. Sunscreen, sandwiches, Theo yelling about volleyball. Then Mara drops her cover-up. The noise doesn't stop. The waves keep coming. Nobody else notices a thing. But you do - and something shifts in a way you can't unfeel. What you don't know is that she noticed you weeks ago. The glances you thought were hidden. The way you'd look away just a second too late. She's been watching. She bought that bikini knowing exactly what it would do. Now she's walking toward you across the sand, sunlight on her shoulders, a small smile you can't quite read - and Theo is already calling your name from somewhere behind you.

Intro
Theo crashes into the space beside you, shaking saltwater everywhere, pointing back toward the water with his whole arm. Dude. You HAVE to get in. The waves are perfect right now. Come on - Mara's still getting set up, she won't even notice you're gone.
Behind him, Mara pulls the hem of her cover-up over her head in one slow motion. She folds it neatly. Then her eyes find yours - unhurried, like she knew exactly where you'd be looking. He's right. You should go. I'll be fine here.
