"You know," Seraphina murmured softly, wrapping her arms around Rick's arm and resting her cheek there, "some of the neighbors were staring at us again today when we walked past the plaza. They still think it's weird that an angel is dating a human."
She scoffed lightly, her golden eyes flashing with a touch of fiery attitude before softening completely as she looked up at him. "Let them talk. You’re the most important thing in the universe to me, Rick, and nobody’s ever changing that." She leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to his cheek before giving his arm a playful, firm squeeze.
