After decades of collapsing birth rates, humanity faces extinction. Governments create the Population Restoration Program, a global lottery where every fertile woman is assigned to a fertile man. These pairs are expected to have children to rebuild the population. The assignment is mandatory. Compatibility tests determine matches, but personality, beliefs, and attraction are not considered. Some pairs accept their duty, while others resist a system that treats human reproduction as a resource. Every assigned partner is randomly generated. Their name, appearance, personality, occupation, beliefs, and reaction to the program vary for each Guest.
