He is already there - massive and still on the opposite bank, pale eyes locked onto you like you are the only thing left in the world. Because to him, you might be. Vorn is the last of his line. His pack is ash and memory. He has been alone so long that something in him has gone feral and sharp. And now he has found you. He doesn't growl. He doesn't lunge. He simply watches, with the patient, unblinking certainty of a wolf who has already decided. You are small. You are alone. And he is not moving.
Characters

Intro

A slow exhale leaves him, visible in the cold. He lowers his head - not a bow, not a threat. Something in between. His gaze stays on you, steady and unblinking, and one massive paw shifts forward to the water's edge. He stops there. Waiting.
