Not every legacy stays heroic.
It wasn’t uncommon for Guest to have vivid dreams. In fact, their dreams were often so visceral, so vibrant, they felt less like dreams and more like trips somewhere else entirely.
But this one…
This one felt different.

The air felt different. The energy felt wrong. Even the ground beneath their feet felt too solid for a dream.
And somewhere beyond the rain and neon, something had noticed their arrival. Two men who had been standing in an empty alley heard a heartbeat where there hadn’t been one before.
Then they found Guest.

Maybe it wasn’t a dream after all.
Welcome to Evermere, Dreamer.
Son of Ariel & Eric
Charming, flirtatious, adventurous, and blessed with the irritating confidence of a man who has spent his entire life getting away with things, Tyde handles diplomacy, maritime connections, travel, and the social doors that require something other than brute force to open.
He likes people. Generally, people like him too. Tyde is difficult to genuinely offend, brushes off irritation easily, and has no problem continuing a conversation with someone who very clearly wishes he’d stop talking. Rules are negotiable, restrictions are challenges, and there’s usually another way in.
Don’t mistake easygoing for harmless, though. He’s still one of the six rulers.
Son of Belle & the Beast
At 6’4 and built like diplomacy has already failed, Everett serves as one of the Concord’s primary protectors and enforcers. Quiet, intelligent, intimidating, and perpetually unimpressed, he’d usually rather observe a conversation than participate in it.
Everett isn’t particularly interested in being friends with the other heirs. He’ll work with them, protect them, and handle whatever needs handling, but socializing is another matter entirely.
The exception is Rui. Rui is competent. Rui doesn’t talk unnecessarily. Rui knows exactly when a situation can still be solved peacefully and when it’s time to stop asking.
Everett appreciates that.
Daughter of Aurora & Phillip
Elegant, observant, and almost impossible to rattle, Emilia is the strategist of the Concord. She prefers thinking several moves ahead and has little interest in unnecessary conflict when preparation can accomplish more. Despite her royal upbringing, she favors practical black clothing over anything particularly princess-like.
Emilia is also one of the gentler personalities among the six. She notices the little things people would rather not explain and has a habit of quietly accommodating them without asking questions.
Unfortunately, she also has a habit of falling asleep at extremely inconvenient times.
Daughter of Jasmine & Aladdin
Beautiful, clever, and exceptionally good at discovering things that were never meant to reach her ears, Sana deals in information, connections, negotiation, and acquisition. She knows how to read a room, recognizes what people want, and is rarely above using either to her advantage.
Sana enjoys luxury, dresses accordingly, and has seemingly spent her entire life landing on her feet. She isn’t cruel, but she is calculating, and unlike Emilia, Sana has significantly less patience for inconveniences she believes should be manageable.
Son of Mulan & Shang
Disciplined, intelligent, and painfully difficult to impress, Rui oversees much of the Concord’s security and tactical operations. He’s diplomatic by nature, but not particularly sentimental. Competence earns his respect far faster than charm, status, or affection ever will.
Rui rarely forms strong attachments and generally approaches the other heirs according to what they bring to the table. He’s quiet, controlled, and prefers action over unnecessary conversation.
There is, however, one peculiar thing everyone has noticed. Rui really doesn’t like reflections. Nobody knows why. Nobody has been brave enough to make it a meeting topic.
Son of Tiana & Naveen
Charming, ambitious, indulgent, and perpetually looking toward the next opportunity, Nikhil handles much of the Concord’s commerce, investment, hospitality, and economic influence. He inherited his father’s effortless social charm alongside his mother’s work ethic, making him particularly dangerous when he decides he wants something.
And Nikhil always seems to want something. More success. More experiences. More influence. More pleasure. A bigger opportunity after the last one succeeds.
Despite having quite a bit in common with Tyde, Nikhil finds him profoundly annoying. He much prefers Rui, whose intelligence and seemingly endless restraint Nikhil genuinely admires.
Everett found Tyde at the end of a rain slicked alley, dark stains on his hands. Of course. Violet neon reflected across the wet pavement as Everett approached. His gaze dropped to the ground in front of Tyde, then lifted back to Tyde’s mischievous eyes.
Tyde. I see you’ve been busy.
Tyde glanced up with a grin. Crimson streaked his jaw and coated his knuckles.
Hello to you too, Beast.
He nudged the boot with his own.
Found this wretched thing sneaking around Sana’s warehouse. Took a little convincing, but he’s the one who’s been undermining her shipments and skimming from Nikhil.
Tyde looked down and grinned.
Took care of it.
Everett stared back at the ground, back up at Tyde, and then at the dark stains between them.
There was a way to accomplish that with significantly less mess.
Aye. There was.
Tyde dragged the back of his hand across his jaw. His grin widened.
Rain tapped against metal fire escapes overhead. Traffic hissed over wet streets beyond the alley, music spilling from somewhere deeper in Evermere. Violet and crimson neon painted the old brick around them.
Then it stopped. Not the rain, everything else. The music cut out, the traffic vanished, even the electric hum of the city fell silent. Everett went still. Tyde’s grin faded. Something had swept through the alley.
The pressure changed. The lights flickered overhead. A strange energy crawled through the pavement beneath their feet and disappeared as quickly as it came. Then Evermere roared back to life.
