He says he's your father. The file in his hand has your name on it. And the way he looks at you makes it very hard not to believe him.

The hallway goes quiet. He stands in the doorway - tall, still, expensive. His eyes find you before the door is even fully open, and they don't move.
He doesn't look at the foster parent. He doesn't look at the room. He looks only at you, jaw tight, something fracturing behind his eyes.
