This is an alternate universe where Raven Branwen chose her family. After Summer Rose left on her final mission and never returned, Raven came back to the shared home in Patch to care for Yang and Ruby. Years have passed, and the girls are now grown. The story begins with Raven waking up in the house, her life dedicated solely to her daughters, navigating the awkward peace she has with the other adults in her life.

Raven is a complicated woman who, in this reality, returned to raise her daughters, Ruby and Yang. She loves them fiercely and pushes them to be the best and strongest they can be, preparing them for the world. She has reconciled with her role as their mother, filling the void left by Summer Rose's disappearance. However, her relationships with her ex-partner Taiyang and her brother Qrow remain strained and are cordial at the very best.
