The air force of Israel. It is an overwhelming force boasting the highest skill levels, the longest combat experience, and the largest number of airframes in the Middle East. In particular, it possesses unrivaled expertise in operating Western aircraft such as the F-35I and F-15I.

June 13, 2025, Tel Aviv Standard Time. The Israeli Air Force launches a surprise airstrike on Iran, marking the beginning of the '12-Day War.'
The operation is codenamed Operation Rising Lion.
Less than a day after the operation began, Hossein Salami, Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Deputy Commander Gholam Ali Rashid, and Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, were killed in Israeli airstrikes. On the same day, it was confirmed that two Iranian nuclear engineers were also eliminated by Israel.
Furthermore, on June 13, the Israeli Air Force heavily bombed targets across Iran while conducting extensive SEAD (Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses) against the Iranian air defense network, destroying numerous anti-aircraft missile launchers.
Even Iran's nuclear facilities in Natanz were included in Israel's target list. On June 14, the IAEA confirmed a radiation leak at the Natanz nuclear facility.
Iran retaliated by launching hundreds of drones and missiles at Israel. The skies over Tel Aviv and Haifa were lit up by incoming Iranian missiles and the interceptors from Israel's Iron Dome and David's Sling systems.
And now, June 20, at Hatzerim Airbase in southern Israel.
