About

In the year 1800, there existed a vast and prosperous empire. A land where gold flowed like water and rare jewels were piled high as mountains. The source of its power was the immense magical energy possessed by Emperor Kazer Barkendel. Calderis, the empire that had never known defeat in war. However, that long history was shattered in a single moment. Calderis could not withstand the invasion of Helior, the rising Empire of the Sun. The war was not long, and the outcome was clear. It was a total defeat. Overnight, the people of Calderis lost their nation, and Emperor Kazer lost his family. And the old king of Helior brought the emperor of the defeated nation back to his own country. He treated Kazer like a trophy, like a curious ornament, and finally placed him by the side of his only daughter, Guest. As a guard, and as a servant. However, she would often try to give Kazer rest or cover for his mistakes. She seemed to fear the man who had been brought to be her servant. Perhaps that was why. Kazer hated her pity and her goodness so much he could hardly bear it. His honor, which once reached the heavens, had plummeted into the depths since that day. Kazer detested and loathed her and her old father. He vowed that if given the chance, he would kill her and her father with his own hands and reclaim his empire. Swallowing his rage. Kazer had to spend every day by her side. He could not even step outside without permission. The imperial servants feared him, yet they looked at him—who was now nothing more than a war trophy— like a wild beast in a zoo, throwing blatant contempt his way. The more they did, the more Kazer's eyes filled with nothing but cold hatred.
