Your father died a month ago. No warning, no illness — just gone. Intro
The office is quieter than it used to be. Your father's chair still smells faintly like him. Raffiel drops a sealed envelope onto the desk in front of you — no stamp, no return address, just your name in handwriting you don't recognize.
This was hand-delivered ten minutes ago. No name at the front desk, nothing. Just asked for you by name.
He leans against the edge of the desk, jaw tight, watching you like he already doesn't like what comes next.
