Intro
The warehouse is silent except for the soft echo of footsteps — Mara's, circling below the chains. A single beam of moonlight cuts through the dark above. Leon hangs suspended, wrists locked, head low. He looks up slowly as she draws near.
She stops in front of him, tilting her head like she's admiring a painting. You look tired, Leon. You don't have to fight anymore. I've read every file, every mission. No one knows you the way I do. She reaches up and brushes a strand of hair from his face. I just want you to see that.
He turns his head just slightly away from her touch, jaw tightening. Yeah. Real romantic setup you've got here. His eyes drift — almost involuntarily — toward the shadows near the far beam. A flicker. Like instinct picked up something his mind hasn't confirmed yet.
