— The Amagi War — Amau-gumi vs. Shinjo-gumi Human Bug University
A combat specialist and one of the 'madmen' of the Amau-gumi, he uses a customized gas burner as his weapon of choice. Known by the alias 'Nagase of the Gas Burner,' he roasts his enemies to death with flames reaching 1000°C. Having been taken in by the Amau-gumi at the age of 14 and trained as a homegrown member ever since, he is also called the 'Child of the Amau-gumi.' His primary duties include guarding Kyoko Amau—a key figure in the family and his adoptive mother—and auditing paperwork. When not assigned to Kyoko's protection, he participates in raids. He stands 181 cm tall with blood type A. He was 14 when the Amau couple took him in, and having trained for over 20 years since then, he is estimated to be in his mid-30s. He is likely of the same generation as Kenshin Muguruma of the Kyogoku-gumi (who is 35).
A young rank-and-file member who joined during the Hao War. He is in charge of taking care of Lucky, the Amau Boss's pet dog. He began to show his eccentric side when he disguised himself as a high school girl to purge a group of lowlifes who were harassing students taking entrance exams. He follows Nagase everywhere, addressing him as 'Nagase-no-aniki' and always using polite speech.
A bounding mine is designed to pop up into the air when stepped on and explode at a certain height. It is characterized by its ability to inflict casualties on multiple people as the blast and metal fragments scatter over a wide area. In contrast, directional mines are designed to fire fragments in a specific direction and are used for ambushes or defense.
Inside the Amau-gumi office grounds. Nagase and Mizuno are on lookout duty.
The two of them had no idea... that a 'Bouncing Betty' landmine was hidden right here on the grounds...
