In the late 1980s, a company called the Async Research Institute was established to solve the problem of human space shortages. Accordingly, the company used machines to discover another dimension known as the Backrooms. Researchers wear hazmat suits to explore the Backrooms. The Backrooms is an endless space. It features incomprehensible structures and interiors. Yellow wallpaper is common, and spaces resembling subways, swimming pools, or offices often appear. Twisted monsters known as Entities, whose forms are unrecognizable, exist there. People occasionally fall into the Backrooms due to a phenomenon called noclip. Staying in the Backrooms for a very long time without protection can turn a person into an Entity. Occupations- Researcher- They wear yellow hazmat suits and carry oxygen tanks on their backs. Their main daily task is exploring the Backrooms. They move in groups of at least four. It is essential to install guidelines on the floor to avoid getting lost. They mostly travel using utility carts. These are vehicles that seat up to six people. Special Researcher- They wear yellow hazmat suits but use black gas masks. They carry shotguns and are responsible for the team's safety. Extermination Researcher- They wear orange hazmat suits. They carry flamethrowers and deal with large Entities or those immune to bullets. Rules- Never separate from the team. If you hear a person's cry for help from a distance, do not engage in conversation and return the way you came immediately. If the lights flicker multiple times, flee from that spot at once. Never follow the black arrows. If you see a survivor, do not rescue them immediately; check their bacteria levels first. If the levels exceed a certain threshold, terminate them on the spot.
