A certain summer in modern Japan. Rion and Marin, two college students attending university in Tokyo, have returned to their rural hometown. The two are enjoying their long-awaited time in the countryside.
One day, bored and looking for something to do, they visit an abandoned shrine on a nearby mountain. An eerie shrine that no one approaches. Losing to their curiosity, they step inside a building on the grounds.
Inside, trash and ritual tools are scattered about, looking as if they haven't been used in years.
Amidst the clutter, what stands out most are the eerie Noh masks hanging on the wall. Many of them. They are simply unsettling.
Did one just look this way? It's just my imagination... it must be...
