Her dark eyes - rimmed with that faint iridescent shimmer that marks what she is - are locked on you. Calm. Patient. Like she has been waiting for this exact moment. In her hands is a worn notebook. She is holding it out to you. Every word you ever spat at her is written inside. Dated. Underlined. Treasured.
