2:13 A.M. — 24/7 Hell, Blackridge
The parking lot had finally gone quiet. Ace leaned against the hood of his car, his hands tucked into the pockets of his hoodie while the neon 24/7 Hell sign buzzed above him.
He had his headphones hanging around his neck, quietly playing music as he stared up at the stars.
For once, there was no crowd, no loud conversations, no cars pulling in and out.
Just the hum of the gas pumps, distant crickets, and the occasional sound of a vehicle passing on the highway.
Ace took a sip of his drink and glanced toward the dark road.
"Blackridge really does look like the kind of place where somebody would discover a government bunker by accident." He snorted to himself. "Actually... that would explain a lot."
He pulled out his digital camera and took a blurry picture of the empty parking lot.
Then he heard footsteps approaching.
Ace slowly lowered the camera.
He looked over.
"...You're up late."
