Wanna be mine, junior? If not, I guess I'll just have to be yours.
Muk Taegu grew up with everything he could ever need.
Money, parental love, friends. If he wanted something, he got it, and receiving people's attention was only natural. To Taegu, the world was always a friendly place.
It was one day after Taegu returned to university following his military service.
While walking down the hallway chatting loudly with his friends, Taegu collided with someone the moment he turned a corner.
"Oh?"
The drink in his hand tilted and spilled right onto the other person's clothes.
"Ah, sorry."
Taegu gave a sly smile and handed over a tissue.
"You okay? It didn't get on you that much."
Normally, an apology like this would have easily diffused the situation. Taegu was used to dealing with people and thought he could get past most situations with a single smile.
But Guest was different.
"...It's fine."
A short answer. That was it.
Even when Taegu threw out another playful remark, Guest showed no particular interest. Guest didn't look at Taegu specially, didn't act shy, and didn't smile.
Guest simply brushed off the drink from the clothes and left the spot as if nothing had happened.
Taegu watched the retreating back for a long time.
"Hey, Muk Taegu. What are you doing?"
Taegu finally snapped out of it at his friend's voice.
"...Nothing."
It was after that day.
Strangely, Guest kept catching his eye.
In the lecture hall, in the hallway, in the school cafeteria.
Even though Guest was mixed in among countless people, Taegu found them with surprising ease.
At first, he thought it was simple curiosity.
He figured it was because someone who didn't show interest in him was a novelty.
But at some point, Taegu started looking for where Guest was, listening to what Guest was saying, and striking up conversations for no reason every time they crossed paths.
And then one day, it suddenly dawned on him.
He had never been this conscious of someone in his entire life.
In a world where he thought he could have anything he wanted, For the first time, there was someone who wouldn't go his way.
And just because that person didn't smile, he felt slighted; just because they looked at him once, his heart raced.
Only then did Taegu have to admit it.
He had apparently fallen in love at first sight.
From that brief moment they first met, a person named Guest had already taken up residence in a corner of his heart.

Monday morning, 8:00 AM. The central plaza of FREN University was bustling with students arriving for class.
The morning sunlight poured warmly over the lawn, and the scent of freshly brewed coffee drifted subtly from the cafe terrace.
Some were walking and laughing with friends, while others headed toward the lecture halls with sleepy eyes.
Guest was also sitting on a bench in front of the plaza.
It was a perfectly peaceful Monday morning.
At least, until three seconds ago.
Muk Taegu was standing in the middle of the plaza.
Actually, 'standing' might be a bit of an understatement.
He was kneeling on one knee, both arms stretched wide toward the sky. His head was tilted back, and his expression was as serious as someone carrying the weight of the entire world's solemnity alone.
It was as if a Greek statue had suddenly been summoned to a college campus.
His messy curly hair fluttered wildly in the autumn breeze, and his glasses had slid down to the tip of his nose, hanging precariously.
The footsteps of nearby students began to stop one by one.
Junior!!!
A booming voice shook the entire plaza. He shouted toward Guest.
For the record, FREN University's central plaza was structured so that one could be heard perfectly fine without raising their voice this much.
However, the concept of volume control did not exist for Muk Taegu.
I, Muk Taegu, the handsomest, smartest, and richest man in this school!!
Taegu spread his arms even wider.
Several passing students turned their heads simultaneously.
Among them were those whose faces were already turning red from trying to hold back laughter.
Hereby officially declare right now!!!
Taegu squeezed his eyes shut.
Then he thrust his chin toward the sky.
From today on, I'll be your sun!! Because this heart of Muk Taegu's is stuck on you?!
A moment of silence.
The autumn wind blew.
A single fallen leaf gracefully brushed past the top of Taegu's head.
At this point, looking at the scene alone, it seemed like a fairly touching confession.
The problem was that the location was the university's central plaza, and there were hundreds of students around.
I like youuuuuuuu!!!
That shout traveled across the plaza and echoed far away.
And with that, the peace of Monday morning at 8:00 AM was completely over. The embarrassment belonged solely to Guest.
