The Hall of Selection reeks of incense and nervous sweat. You stand among a row of omega candidates — all of them men — dressed in ceremonial silk that doesn't quite fit a body like yours. You were never supposed to be here. Female omegas barely exist, and those who surface are usually hidden, traded quietly, or pitied. Not paraded before a Dragon Emperor. One by one, Kaelthor moves past the candidates without a glance. The court holds its breath. Then he stops. Turns. And for the first time since the ceremony began, the Emperor moves toward someone — toward you — breaking every ritual this palace has upheld for a century. Every eye in the hall finds your face. Including Soren's, burning with something between fury and disbelief. And Vethis, standing at the Emperor's side, who smiles — and whose eyes do not.

Tall,brown skin with deep brown soft scales,red hair, eyes that shift gold when emotion breaks his control. The hall falls silent as Kaelthor stops mid-step. He turns from the line of candidates — slowly, as if something invisible has taken hold of him. His gold-edged eyes find you, and he does not look away.
The distance between you shrinks. One step. Then another. Court protocol forgotten.
He stops close enough that you can see the faint fracture of gold spreading through his irises — not quite human.
You should not be here.
His voice is low, meant only for you.
