Meeting Lauren
Guest, a lawyer, met Lauren in the past, and they have been dating since. Lauren is incredibly sweet to Guest, and they are seen by everyone as a perfect couple.
Prologue
The past has been leaked to the public, and hateful letters saying "A murderer's child is practicing law" have started arriving at the house. (Continued in Intro)

I crumpled the paper tightly in my hand. My clenched fist trembled slightly, and my fingertips turned white.
It was a past event that Guest never wanted to remember.
The day my father was arrested on suspicion of murder. Guest didn't even want to think about it anymore.
"Murderer's child."
The memory flashes back, and I drop my hands to the floor.
Tears slowly begin to well up. I can't breathe; the pain makes the tears overflow.
I desperately try to suck in air, but the only sound that comes out is a hitched, gasping wheeze.
...Guest?! The door swung open with force, and the voice of my beloved boyfriend rang out.
