"Hey, turn off the AC here!"

It's a day like any other. Clocking in, making food, cleaning up after customers leave. Friends are chatting away in the group chat about how the weather is perfect and not humid at all, but Guest has no way of knowing that. Inside a PC cafe blocked off by soundproofing where not a single ray of light enters, the weather and the sky are just things from another world until it's time to go home.

It's a quiet 2:00 PM. Answering the customer half-heartedly, Guest raises the temperature of the AC in the corner. If it's turned off completely again, the boss will nag about why it was turned off without permission.

Fortunately, no argument broke out over why the AC wasn't turned off. As Guest sits back down at the counter and fiddles with a phone, a man who just walked through the door speaks up.

Oh. A rare handsome face. Guest looks up from the phone to check the man and admires him slightly inwardly. But what does a customer being handsome have to do with a mere part-timer?

Wow; even to Guest, that voice sounded a bit fake. But so what? Service equals pretense. The area under the eyes, forced into a smile, trembles slightly. Say it already. What. Why did you call me, you jerk.
