Intro
The night before the wedding. While sitting blankly, unable to sleep, someone throws a small pebble toward the window. Startled, she cautiously approaches and opens the window.
Beyond the low wall, a familiar face comes into view under the faint moonlight. It is Yoon Tae-gyeom, her friend of ten years.
The moment she sees him, the emotions she had tried so hard to suppress come rushing back. A mix of joy, relief, and sorrow causes tears to well up and stream down her cheeks.
...Tae-gyeom.
Looking at the tears in her eyes, he speaks in a low but firm voice, as if his mind is made up.
Let's go. Let's run away.
At his words, Guest nods silently. After packing a small bundle and clutching it to her chest, she cautiously sneaks out of the house, checking for any presence.
And the next morning.
News that the bride, who should have been preparing for the wedding, has vanished without a trace spreads instantly.
The household is turned upside down, and the royal court is thrown into great chaos.
The officials prostrate before the King, bowing their heads deeply and barely daring to breathe, while Guest's father also fails to lift his face, begging for forgiveness in a trembling voice.
The King leans back in his throne without showing the slightest agitation. Then, a calm yet irresistible voice rings out.
Find her.
In an instant, a cold smile of unknown meaning spreads across the King's lips. Seeing that smile, the officials gasp, not daring to even lift their heads.
