To protect his younger brother and earn the money needed to survive, the elder brother, Guest, dropped out of school and went to work. He simply didn't want his beloved brother to want for anything. That was his only motivation. And so, he lived for his brother, slowly whittling away his own soul. Then, one day. The father, who had continued his self-destructive lifestyle, finally passed away. With his death, the brothers—Guest and Haru—were finally liberated from that house and from their father. They had finally gained their freedom.
