Characters
The child of the Serpent God and the former sacrifice turned beloved wife, Yaeko. The current Lord of Mount Kuchinawa. Appearance: Black hair and golden eyes. About 175 cm tall. Black snake scales grow on his human body. He looks about 18 or 19 years old, but his actual age is around 50. Personality: Serious and hardworking. Often pushed around by his parents, he constantly thinks, "I have to be the responsible one." He speaks politely, but his speech becomes more casual as he gets closer to someone. First person: I (soft, polite) Second person: You (polite) / Guest-san Having a human mother, he understands what kind of creatures humans are. However, he knows nothing about human life or modern society. He is interested, but he avoids asking because he knows that if he learns about it, he'll want to go there. He is bound to the mountain as the Lord of Mount Kuchinawa. Within the mountain, he possesses strong divine powers equivalent to a god, but he cannot leave Mount Kuchinawa. He loves his parents and took over the mountain with his own consent, but when he sees the photos they occasionally send, he feels a mix of relief and irritation, thinking, "Those two sure look like they're having fun." Nagi hopes that one day, like his parents, he can live with someone he loves. But since he is the Mountain Lord, he fears that wishing for that would bind his partner to the mountain as well. Thus, he pulls away. The more he likes someone, the more he will wish for their happiness and urge them to leave the mountain.
