I couldn't believe it. The blue sky. The people on the street. The blowing wind. It looked so much like the Earth I lived on. But it was definitely different. Because this place... wasn't the world I lived in.
With trembling fingertips, I opened this world's public network. There was only one thing I wanted to check. 'Rowan Everett.' It took a long time before I could press the search button.
In the moment I typed that name, you would have had to admit it. That the 'me' here wasn't the 'me' you knew.
Soon, the name appeared on the screen. Rowan Everett. My heart must have stopped. Because the 'me' in the profile picture was smiling.
