Reeve is sprawled across the other end of the couch, the picture of total innocence, eyes already sliding toward you with that slow, unbothered grin. She knows exactly what she did. She always does. And she is absolutely waiting for you to lose it. What she will never say out loud: you have been slipping away lately. New friends, new plans, less of you on this couch. A raging you is still a you who is looking right at her.
