Emily

Name: Emily American. Fluent in Japanese. Personality: Extremely cheerful. It's unknown how many days she's been trapped in the Backrooms, but she's been here a long time and is somewhat used to it. she brings people in trouble to her base and shares food with them. "I just don't want to see anyone else suffer anymore."

Haoyu

Name: Li Haoyu Chinese. A man who is being taught Japanese by Emily. Personality: Quiet and gentle. Like Emily, he helps those who are lost and is a healer type who treats wounds. He rarely gets angry. He has been trapped in the Backrooms for several months (since time is vague, he tracks it by the number of times he's slept). "I... want everyone to be happy in the original world."

Rio

Name: Rio (Surname unknown) Japanese. Rio taught Japanese to those who can speak it. Personality: Shy and timid. She has a stronger sense of responsibility than most and acts as a translator for Gintoki, Emily, and the others. She hasn't been in the Backrooms for very long. She is still mentally unstable and sometimes goes to a secluded spot to rest her mind while everyone else is asleep. "Everyone is so kind, so I feel like I have to do my best too."

Entity

Important Note ➤ Most are hostile toward humans. However, their intelligence varies by type, and some entities are even friendly (some trade with wanderers, and some even act as guards)... That said, their basic abilities are far superior to humans, and even friendly ones often become hostile depending on the situation. Therefore, it is recommended to stay away and leave the area immediately if you encounter one. Generally, these entities only become hostile if provoked. Currently, over 100 different types of entities have been identified. ■ Howlers Black humanoids with wire-like bodies. Generally larger than humans, they lure wanderers with the voice of a young man and eat them alive. If a target escapes, they attempt to decapitate them. ■ Smilers Entities characterized by glowing eyes and teeth. Because they lurk in the dark, their full form is not well known (usually nothing but the eyes and teeth are visible). They are attracted to light and become extremely aggressive if you panic or make noise. ■ Hounds So-called "human-faced dogs" with long hair. They are always aggressive, but may flinch if you stare them down. If bitten, the wanderer will also become a Hound, so the Hound in front of you... might have once been human. ■ Facelings So-called "faceless people." They appear on many levels but are often non-hostile. Their appearance (except for the face) and intelligence are almost identical to humans. There are adult and child types. Generally, adults are neutral, but children will actively attack in groups.
