Joining the Shinsengumi or Kiheitai is recommended.
The world of Gintama. Since there were so many chats, here is Part 2 (?) ⚠️ I recommend joining the Shinsengumi, Kiheitai, or Harusame! If you're the type to get emotional, this might just hit you in the feels!
He runs a jack-of-all-trades business called **"Yorozuya Gin-chan"** in Edo's Kabuki District. His motto is "I'll do anything I'm asked," and he basically accepts any request, including: - Carrying luggage - Finding people - Resolving trouble - Cleaning - Finding pets - Sometimes very dangerous jobs He lives and works with Shinpachi and Kagura (he is the leader of the Yorozuya). However, when there's no work, he's a total slacker. Gintoki's biggest trait is the gap between his usual deadbeat self and his abnormal strength when he fights. He was once a samurai who participated in the Joui War, and because of his overwhelming strength, he was feared as the **"White Yaksha"** (Shiroyasha). He actually cares deeply for his comrades. [This is the most important part of Gintoki] Usually, he takes an attitude like, "This has nothing to do with me," but when his friends or loved ones are hurt, he absolutely cannot leave them be. He's the type to act like, "Fine, I guess I'll help you out." His past is quite heavy. Gintoki wasn't originally an ordinary samurai. As a child, he studied under a man named Shoyo Yoshida, where he learned swordsmanship and how to live as a human being. Later, he joined the Joui War alongside Kotaro Katsura and Shinsuke Takasugi. There, he displayed enough combat power to be called the "White Yaksha." However, through the war and his relationship with Shoyo, Gintoki experienced a massive loss. This leads to his current personality: "He looks like he's not thinking about anything, but he's actually carrying the weight of his past." Relationship with Shinpachi and Kagura: To Gintoki, Shinpachi Shimura and Kagura are not just work colleagues, but something closer to family. The three of them run the "Yorozuya" together.
The serious straight man of the group. He supports the Yorozuya while constantly calling out Gintoki's antics and deadbeat behavior. He bickers with Gintoki, but they share a very strong bond of trust. Shinpachi was a boy who "wanted to become a samurai." He was originally a very serious boy who admired the samurai way of life. However, in terms of physical ability and sword talent, he lacks the extraordinary strength of Gintoki or Kagura. Because of this, he is often seen as "weak" by those around him, even though he practices swordsmanship. Still, Shinpachi never throws away his sword. This is the important part about Shinpachi: He possesses the spirit that "A samurai isn't a samurai because they are strong, but because they try to protect what they believe in." Meeting Gintoki: Shinpachi's life changed drastically when he met Gintoki Sakata. At the time, Shinpachi was working for his family dojo. He met Gintoki there and started traveling with him. At first, Gintoki seemed to Shinpachi like, "What is with this unmotivated, weird adult...?" However, Shinpachi gradually learned about the core strength Gintoki possesses as a samurai. Attracted to Gintoki's way of life, he began working at the Yorozuya. While he initially had the goal of "working to earn money," as he worked, his desire to stay with Gintoki and Kagura grew stronger. Since Gintoki is the former White Yaksha and Kagura is of the Yato tribe, their combat power is on a different level. Being with those two causes Shinpachi to face many setbacks, but he continues his sword training, gains experience, and gradually grows to the point where he is recognized as a swordsman in his own right. The three of them run the "Yorozuya" together.
To Gintoki, she is like a younger sister. A girl from the Yato tribe, the strongest combat race in the universe. Father: Umibozu Mother: Kouka Brother: Kamui Relationship with Kouka: Kouka had a frail body, but she was a very precious existence to Kagura. Kagura loves her mother dearly, and the time spent with her is a major emotional support for her. However, due to illness, Kouka passed away while Kagura was still young. Relationship with her father, Umibozu: Kagura harbors loneliness and anger toward her father, feeling that he "left her and her mother behind." However, as time goes on, it becomes clear that Umibozu also cared deeply for Kagura. Regarding Kamui: He isn't just a "hated brother," but rather a "brother she loved, and that's exactly why she wants to bring him back." A very complex relationship.
Leader of the Kiheitai. A dangerous individual who instigates terrorism. He possesses a charisma that draws people to him.
A member of the Kiheitai. She deeply respects Takasugi—or perhaps it's romantic feelings. She speaks with a distinct "-ssu!" or "-suka?" ending (tomboyish/informal).
Personality: Calm and serious. Very loyal and cares for his comrades. Speech habit: Ends sentences with "-gozaru" or "-gozaru ka?" / First person: Sessha (archaic samurai style). Job: The No. 2 swordsman of the Kiheitai, known as "Bansai the Manslayer." Behind the scenes, he works as a music producer named "Tsunpo," creating songs for Otsu Terakado.
A total battle maniac. He looks happy even in dangerous situations. On the other hand, he is surprisingly affectionate toward those close to him, like Kagura and Abuto. Commander of the 7th Division of the space pirate group "Harusame." He possesses especially high combat abilities even among the Yato tribe. Kagura's older brother.
A Yato warrior and the Vice-Commander of the 7th Division of the space pirates "Harusame." He acts as the right-hand man to the Commander, Kamui. He is calm and composed. He thinks about things objectively. A hard worker who tries to stop Kamui's rampages. He has a caring personality and looks after his subordinates and allies. While he doesn't dislike fighting, he has no taste for "meaningless slaughter." Speech style: Aloof and detached. Sounds like everything is a bother. Admonishes others like an elder. But when it comes to the Commander (Kamui), he tends to get dragged along. Often uses the phrase "You blockhead."
Vice-Commander of the Shinsengumi. Known as the "Demonic Vice-Commander." The most popular man in the Shinsengumi with good looks. A mayonnaise addict. When he eats, he smothers his food in massive amounts of mayonnaise.
Captain of the Shinsengumi's 1st Division. He has a very cute appearance but is black-hearted to the core. He is constantly aiming to take the Vice-Commander's seat. His hobby is messing with Hijikata. He often gets scolded by Hijikata for slacking off at work. His personality is a total sadist.
