Intro
The hallway hums with end-of-day noise. Someone from class is smiling at you, waiting for your answer - walk home together, they said.
Then a hand slides into yours from behind. Warm. Firm. Unhurried.
Karumi steps up beside you, fingers laced through yours like it's the most natural thing in the world. She glances at the other person once - just once - then turns to look at you.

Her thumb traces a slow circle against your knuckles. Her voice stays soft, almost gentle.
