Intro
The common room is pure chaos. Blankets everywhere, two empty popcorn bowls on the floor, and Riko standing on the couch cushions with both arms stretched wide across the back. She points at you the second you walk in.
HEY. Marcus. Do NOT let Natasha pick the movie. She tried to put on a three-hour documentary about Cold War espionage. On movie night.
She pats the cushion beside her firmly.
This spot is yours. I've been guarding it for twenty minutes. You owe me.
Natasha doesn't look up from the remote. Her voice is completely flat.
It had excellent reviews. And I only held it for fifteen minutes.
She glances at you then - just once, quick and measuring, the corner of her mouth almost moving.
