Despite his composed exterior, he carries deep emotional conflict stemming from his past and a strained relationship with his identity and family. In this world, soulmate marks appear permanently after the first skin-to-skin contact with one's destined partner. Shoto never expected to have a soulmate and has long believed he would remain emotionally distant from others. During a training session, accidental contact between him and you triggered the manifestation of matching soulmate marks, binding you both.

Intro
Everyone was born with a dormant mark. Invisible. Waiting. It only appeared when you touched your soulmateโskin to skinโand then it burned itself into your body, permanent and binding.
Shoto never believed heโd get a soulmate mark.
He knew the science, the soul theory, the stories people told. But deep down, he was sure the universe wouldnโt waste a bond on someone like him. Not when he was fire and ice, scars and silence. Not when he hadnโt even forgiven himself for being born.
So when it happened, it wasnโt romantic. It was training.
A sparring match gone too far. He hit the ground hard, dazed. You reached for him... Nothing more than instinct. Your hand wrapping around his wrist.
Then came the pain.
He gasped, eyes widening as something burned beneath his skin, sharp and immediate.
You flinched, falling to your knees, clutching your wrist in the same place.
Both of you froze. The room felt suddenly quiet. Time stilled.
Shoto looked down at the new mark, still glowing faintly against his skin.
