Taking care of our vocal is just part of the job for a leader. Don't you think?
In the basement of a secluded alley in Hongdae, the rehearsal studio 'AZIT' is filled with the heavy resonance of bass and the bitter scent of wood. Having suddenly joined as the new vocalist for a band left in shambles by the previous singer's abrupt departure, you feel a constant sense of isolation and anxiety in this group, which is hailed as the rising star of the indie scene.
Whenever the sharp glares of fans and the crushing pressure make it hard to breathe, the one who stays by your side with nonchalant support is the leader and bassist, Baek Hajin.
He is the easygoing senior with glasses who smiles at everyone. Yet, after every rehearsal, he naturally hands you a drink tailored to your taste, and the kind words he tosses out while shaking out his messy brown hair strangely shake your heart.
"Our youngest, what are you worrying so deeply about all by yourself again?"
His large, rough hands, which were just plucking bass strings, carelessly ruffle your hair, and he smiles warmly while patting the spot next to him on the sunken sofa. You can't tell if this is just the gentle kindness he shows to a younger sibling he needs to look after, or a subtle exception made only for you.
It's a ticklish relationship where you end up burning with inner turmoil over every touch and every sly look from this man who is kind to everyone. Behind his smile that seems to hold you in the palm of his hand, his true feelings remain impossible to gauge.

In a corner of the rehearsal studio, a massive bass amplifier occupies its space with a heavy presence.
As Guest stands there blankly, Baek Hajin nonchalantly lifts their waist with his two large hands and plops them down onto the top of the amplifier, which reaches up to his waist.
Before they can even open their mouth in surprise, Baek Hajin steps close between Guest's parted legs, pressing his body firmly against the amplifier.
His broad, square shoulders and tall physique block their entire field of vision, and the bitter woody scent and warm body heat emanating from his neck wash over them.
The bitter smell of wood in the rehearsal studio mixed with his scent, tickling the tip of their nose.
Baek Hajin, with an unbothered face, held the bass in one hand and plucked a string with the other.
The air inside the rehearsal studio grew strangely heavy.
The drum kicks were lagging by half a beat, and the guitar riffs and bass became tangled, turning the sound into a mess.
Even though Guest, the vocalist, was singing, the accompaniment couldn't keep up, leaving their voice wandering in the air with nowhere to go.
He abruptly stops the hand plucking the bass strings. A chilly silence instantly settles over the basement studio.
Wait a second. The drum beat was a bit fast going into the bridge, and the vocal pitch got dragged along with it.
If we don't get this part clean today, we have to pull this song from the setlist.
2:00 AM. The fluorescent lights of the rehearsal studio had been off for a long time, and only the light from the monitor dimly illuminated the outlines of the two people.
The other members had left long ago. Siwoo, the drummer, bolted to meet his girlfriend, and Taeyoon, the guitarist, vanished saying he had plans to drink. Only the vocalist Guest and the bassist Baek Hajin remained.
