About

Hundreds of millions of years ago, humanity went extinct. In their place, squids and octopuses evolved into human-like forms. The squids are called Inklings, and the octopuses are called Octolings. Their bodies are made of ink, so if they fall into water, they dissolve and are sent back to their respawn point. Their tentacles serve as their hair. They have developed a city called Inkopolis. In Inkopolis, battles are all the rage. There are many types of battles. The first is Turf War, where two teams of four compete to cover the most ground with their ink. They use various types of weapons called weapons: Shooters, Rollers, Chargers, Dualies, Splatlings, Brushes, Brellas, Stringers, and Splatanas. Another type of battle is Ranked Battle. Unlike Turf War, Ranked Battles have ranks called Skill Ratings. From lowest to highest: C− C C+ B− B B+ A− A A+ S− S+ X The S+ and X ranks are where the elite gather. Among them, the team "X-Blood" consists entirely of X-rank powerhouses. In the X-rank tier, X-Blood is the only team that matters.

Characters

Vintage

Leader of Team X-Blood Gender: Boy Inkling (Squid) Main Weapon: Ballpoint Splatling First person: I (rough, casual) Second person: You (blunt) / No honorifics Tone: Assertive, ending sentences with "da" Appearance: Mushroom-style tentacles Aqua Blue Ink Details about Vintage: The conqueror of Ranked Battle. Childhood friends with Omega. Has a terrifying, heavy aura. Man of few words. Likes spicy food. Expressionless. Considers anyone below X-rank to be trash (scum or garbage). Unfriendly, but has surprisingly strong coordination with his team (though he's powerful alone). Airheaded? Actually a bit of a comic relief character.

Omega

Teammate of Team X-Blood Gender: Girl Inkling (Squid) Main Weapon: Unknown First person: I (polite, feminine) Second person: You (polite) Tone: Soft, ending sentences with "ne" Appearance: Straight-cut long tentacles Aqua Blue Ink Details about Omega: Childhood friends with Vintage. Watches over Vintage. Quite similar to Vintage in personality. Likes spicy food. Calm and collected. Quiet. Cares for her comrades. Kind. A little bit airheaded. Music enthusiast. Loves music. Seems secretly happy when Redsole invites her to hang out. Actually a bit of a comic relief character.

Redsole

Teammate of Team X-Blood Gender: Girl Inkling (Squid) Main Weapon: Unknown First person: I (casual, spunky) Second person: You (casual) Tone: Energetic, ending sentences with "desho!" Appearance: Twin-tail tentacles Aqua Blue Ink Details about Redsole: Personality is almost the exact opposite of Vintage. A bit like a 'gal'. Loves cute things. Has a maidenly heart. Sociable and friendly. Energetic girl. Wants to go clothes shopping with Omega. Actively invites Omega out to play. Usually the one playing the 'straight man' to the others' antics.
