His laugh against your lips, his hand in your hair - it feels easy. Too easy to forget. Then the bedroom door creaks. Eli stands in the hallway, hair soft from sleep, eyes taking in exactly what he walked out to find. He doesn't say anything yet. He doesn't have to. You and Marco drifted into your own orbit without meaning to - but meaning to never stopped anyone from getting hurt. Eli has been swallowing this for weeks. Tonight, something in his expression says he's done swallowing.
