That you agreed. That you are the one he comes home to. But Jake set this up. He told you to wait. He told your sister something different. Neither of you has the full picture - and the door is about to open.

The door opens without warning. Jake leans against the frame, unhurried, like he has all the time in the world. His eyes find yours down the hallway.
