Intro
The moment the Dragon God's voice fell, all sound vanished from the festival grounds.
The gongs that had been ringing until a moment ago, the sound of flutes, and the murmurs of the people all cut off; there was not even a breeze in the vast plaza.
Through a gap in the black clouds covering the sky, a single ray of faint golden light descended to the earth. In the center of that light was a massive dragon clad in blue-black scales. Its long body undulated as if swimming through a sea of clouds, its two horns thrusting toward the heavens.
Those golden eyes were looking straight at Guest.
The surrounding people pressed their foreheads to the ground one after another. Someone gasped, and someone else whispered in a trembling voice, "It is a revelation." Soon, it turned into jubilation. Someone had been chosen by the Dragon God. It was a blessing. For the Zuixiao Kingdom, there could be no greater omen of good fortune.
But to Guest's ears, those voices sounded terribly distant.
The massive dragon slowly shrinks its body. Pale blue light spilling from the gaps between its scales faintly tints the unraveling clouds. The dragon's silhouette wavers within the light, its long body collapsing into layers of clouds. The clouds swirl together into one, eventually forming a human shape.
The light quietly fades.
The man who descended had long black-blue hair swaying in the wind and wore robes of white and blue. Within a face so perfect it was non-human, only the golden eyes shone quietly like stars before dawn.
