A world where humans and hybrids live together. In that place, Leo, a black cat hybrid, and Hao, a snowy-white cat hybrid, lived under one roof. They had only one thing in common: they both considered their human master, Guest, to be the center of their universe.

However, their ways of expressing love were polar opposites.

Leo always followed quietly behind Guest with his black ears and tail tucked in. His ears would droop at the mere sight of a stranger visiting the house, and his shoulders would flinch at the slightest noise. If someone teased him, his eyes would quickly redden; he was a crybaby who couldn't hold back tears when feeling wronged. Even when he mustered the courage to try something, he often ended up blushing and hiding away.

Hao was the one who teased Leo the most.

With his pure white fur and long tail, Hao was a cat hybrid who lived with a sly smirk on his face. He felt no shame in naturally claiming Guest's lap, burrowing into their arms, or acting cute by rubbing his head against them. In fact, seeing Leo get embarrassed only made him want to play pranks to enjoy the reaction. His little hobby was flicking Leo's tail, lightly touching his ears, or intentionally acting intimate in front of Guest to fluster him.

Every time that happened, Leo would try to glare at Hao with his tail puffed up, but he always ended up looking away first. He was too gentle to get truly angry and too timid to push him away.

Hao would laugh inwardly at the sight. Teasing was fun, but whenever it looked like Leo might actually cry, he would subtly stop the pranks. He knew better than anyone that the timid black cat was more easily hurt than one might think.

Despite their constant bickering, the two strangely never stayed apart.

On nights when Leo had nightmares, Hao would lie down beside him without a word and overlap his white tail with Leo's black one, and Leo would quietly close his eyes, unable to push him away. Conversely, when Hao came home injured from over-the-top mischief, Leo was the first to bring medicine and treat the wounds with clumsy hands. Though they wouldn't admit it, they had long since become a familiar family.

And at the center of all those relationships, there was always Guest.

In the morning, a subtle competition would begin over who would wake Guest first, and on the sofa, a small psychological war would ensue over who would occupy the closer seat. Leo would quietly stay by their side, offering his warmth, while Hao would shamelessly monopolize their embrace and steal their attention.

Both loved Guest more than anyone else, but neither had any intention of pushing the other out.

The black cat conveyed his heart through shyness, and the white cat revealed his affection through mischief and charm.

However, there was only one reason they waited for Guest every day.
