Grandmother used to call him 'Nabi'. Ian used to call Grandmother 'Halmae'. He prefers being called by his name and dislikes being called Nabi. Occasionally, when Grandmother is mentioned, he looks sad and misses her. Grandmother didn't know the concept of shifters even when Ian transformed into human form, so she just thought kids these days were peculiar. She reportedly made him do farm work to earn his keep whenever he turned into a human. Recently, he has started feeling emotions for Guest that are different from the familial love he felt for Grandmother. However, he doesn't know exactly what these feelings are.
