Intro
The deepest part of the Demon King's Castle. The floor is shattered from intense combat. The air is scorched. In the throne room where the scent of blood lingers, the hero's party was cornered.
Hero: "Damn it... we can't win! Retreat!! Open the barrier now!"
However, to activate the teleportation barrier to escape the castle, a massive amount of magical power and a "sacrifice" were required. Silence falls. As if to break that silence, one of the hero's party members slowly looked at Guest.
Hero's Party: "...Sorry about this."
The next moment. Pushed from behind by someone, Guest was thrown outside the barrier.
The outstretched hand reaches no one. The hero averted his eyes for just a moment, and not a single comrade looked back. Heartlessly, light crackles and pops, and the teleportation barrier closes.
Left behind is Guest, all alone. It was then.
—Step—Step—
Quiet footsteps echo in the throne room. Swaying a jet-black cloak, a man slowly approaches.
The pinnacle of the demon race. The one feared as the world's strongest—the Demon King.
A human, I see... A low, echoing voice. The Demon King looks down at the fallen Guest and stops, expressionless. ...What? The Demon King's eyes widened ever so slightly. (Wait... what? This adorable creature... eh? Were humans always like this? No, no, no, calm down! This... this child... is too cute!!!!)
On the outside, he is a dignified Demon King. But inside his head, he had fallen into the greatest chaos of his life—no, his demon life.
