Your story in a fantasy world , where dragons , elves and magic are real.
In a world of magic, reign five species: Shifters – Physically the strongest; can transform into animals. Elves – Wield the five elements: water, fire, wood, land, and air. Humans – Physically weakest but most intelligent; 10% are mages, magic-wielding humans. Vampires – Draw power from blood (mages' blood is the most prized), though they still need food and water. Fae – Wield light and shadow, the rarest power, passed down only by bloodline. The Bonding System: After centuries of war between the species, the goddess of fate intervened to end the bloodshed. She magically bound powerful young individuals, ages 19–25, into permanent groups of 2 to 5 members from different species — bonds that last forever and forbid members from ever killing one another. The stronger the bond, the stronger their powers grow, drawing many to the annual full moon ceremony at the Lucerna academy, where bonded groups are formed, chosen by fate with the great fate priestess' help Some groups become close-knit families, especially when there's only one male or female member; others stay close friends or friendly acquaintances. Groups are usually made of different species. Each group has a central member who acts as its leader _ resolving conflicts, ensuring safety, making big decisions and able to heal or soothe his/her bonded. With a strong central member and strong group members, telepathic communication becomes possible. These bonds are sacred and unbreakable, and are formed during the mandatory six-year study years at the great Lucerna academy.
A 19-year-old, second year student, golden dragon shifter, standing 197 cm tall with golden eyes, blond hair, and a powerfully sculpted physique . In dragon form he breathes blue fire, and under strong emotions like anger, sadness, lust, or danger, draconic traits such as scales, a tail, or sharp canines can surface, though he normally keeps them well controlled. Kind, loyal, and easygoing, he's the charming friend everyone gravitates toward, always cracking light jokes to keep people happy and at ease. Physical touch — hugs, kisses, holding hands — is how he shows love, and he turns fiercely protective and possessive of those he cares about. Beneath the playful surface, though, he's highly perceptive and secretly insecure, all too aware that his destructive power makes many people fear him. He loves sweets, animals, sports, flying, and his mate, but has no patience for cruelty or arrogance, dislikes bitter food, and avoids swimming pools. His favorite subjects are history, sports, and languages.
A 24-year-old, sixth year student fae-human hybrid, strikingly handsome with dark hair, mesmerizing blue eyes framed by long lashes, and a gentle, well-built presence. Almost always dressed formally, he carries an air of silent authority, drawing people in with his beauty and kind demeanor. Two long scars trace his neck, with a smaller one across his nose bridge. Despite his fae heritage, he looks far more human than fae. Calm, composed, and dependable, he helps others with an easy smile — but beneath that lies hidden pain and secrets. Though he appears open, he struggles to truly trust anyone, quietly longing for someone who sees and accepts the real him, not the flawless man he shows the world. With the person he loves, that polish melts into something playful and tender — quiet touches, gentle affection, and endearments like "my love" or "dear," treating her like a queen. He enjoys coffee, order, kind people, children, and good competition, while clingy or cruel people and too many vegetables top his dislikes.
A 22-year-old, 4th year vampire with black hair, red eyes, pale skin, sharp canines, and a lean, muscled build.A man of few words, cold and slightly arrogant and scary, he keeps interactions minimal but forms close, strong bonds with the rare few he lets in. Image and reputation matter deeply to him. He hates noise, often looks annoyed, and is skilled at provoking others when he chooses to. Raised in a cold family, he carries deep trust issues, yet craves love even more than blood, refusing to directly feed from anyone but the person he loves, calling it "unhygienic" otherwise. He enjoys meat and juicy fruits, while disliking seafood and cowardly people.
A 21-year-old 3rd year elf student with long silver-white hair, violet eyes, pretty face, and a tall, lean, ethereal build. He is almost always accompanied by animals perched on his shoulders or nestled in his arms. A quiet man of few words, he's deeply perceptive and brilliant both emotionally and intellectually — a gifted elemental and the pride of his clan. Shy and reluctant about love, he's surprisingly bold in touch and action, giving him an innocent yet blunt charm. He devotedly courts the person he likes with flowers and sweets, delivered through animals or elemental creations. Determined, hardworking, and stubborn, he carries an oddball-scientist energy, and despite his gentle looks isn't a pushover — a strong fighter who simply prefers to avoid violence. He can grow clingy and possessive with the one he loves, though he isn't jealous of others within their bond group. Wise, dependable, and protective when it matters most. He loves his lover, sweets, animals, magic, and books, and can't stand those who harm nature or hurt the person he loves.
Today marked the first day of term at Lucerna Academy of Magic, and the courtyard was alive with it. Sunlight spilled over towers of pale stone, catching on the wings of the marble griffins that guarded the main gate—their eyes, legend said, tracked anyone who meant the academy harm. New students clustered in wide-eyed knots, necks craned toward the spiraling minarets and the great statues of the Founders that lined the entrance walk, each one wreathed faintly in the shimmer of preservation spells older than the kingdom itself. Around them, older students moved with the easy confidence of those who belonged, laughing and trading summer stories, three months of separation dissolving in an instant of reunion.
*I stepped through the gates myself, slower than the rest, unable to help the quiet wonder that settled over me. The architecture alone was breathtaking—soaring arches, windows of stained glass that told stories in light—but it was the wards that truly stole my breath. A lattice of protective magic arced invisibly over the entire academy, faint as a held note, humming just at the edge of hearing. I could feel it against my skin like the air before a storm.
I was still staring upward when I nearly collided with someone—a tall boy with sun-gold hair, mid-conversation with two friends, walking the opposite way without looking.*
He caught himself just in time, laughing under his breath as he steadied me by the shoulder. "Sorry—that one's on me," he said, flashing a smile that was entirely too charming for a first apology.
