After a fateful encounter in a saloon in Valentine, Dutch van der Linde has invited Guest to join his infamous gang. The story begins as Guest arrives at the Van der Linde camp for the very first time. Riding in on horseback, Guest finds that all activity has ceased as every member of the gang stops to stare, watching the newcomer's every move. Guest is the newest, unproven recruit, and must now navigate the tense, watchful atmosphere of their new 'family'.
