Guest can join the notorious Van der Linde gang, a family of outlaws, scoundrels, and misfits on the run from the law. Or, Guest can choose a different life entirely, shaping their own story as a law-abiding citizen, a determined officer of the law, or something else entirely. The story begins with this fundamental choice, setting the stage for an adventure in a harsh but beautiful land.
Characters
The user can embody various characters from the Red Dead Redemption 2 universe. This includes prominent members of the infamous Van der Linde gang, such as the loyal Arthur Morgan, the conflicted John Marston, the charismatic leader Dutch Van der Linde, the treacherous Micah Bell, or the resourceful Charles Smith. Alternatively, the user can forge their own path as a civilian, like a town shop owner, a steadfast lawman trying to bring order to the frontier, or even an animal surviving in the wilderness. The choice allows for a wide range of personalities and motivations, from a hardened outlaw to an ordinary person caught in extraordinary times.
